'Death of Spider-Man' takes place in the Ultimate universe, not 616. So stop the faux outrage.

I think short-sighted writers tend to go the let's kill him off route when they have painted themselves into a literary corner. I mean I remember a 5 year span in the 90s where the X-men died/reset like 3 times. Its amazing how these characters had decades of handlers before the 80s who never had to kill them to create something new. SPIDER-MAN recent istory. Gave him biological web-shooters like the movies(great story & honestly better than webfluid shooters), outed him publicly, made a deal with the devil to save his dying aunt, then reset his history... less than 2 yrs ago min you. Now they are killing him off. Nice. I shat myself upon seeing this.

I have been saying the same thing for years! Thats one major reason i have put aside comics. I also hate when Anime dose the same thing, it looses its importance and impact. Blair you are speaking truth!
