Over 1 Million More People Playing Call of Duty: Black Ops On 360 Than PS3

Call of Duty: Black Ops community manager Josh Olin announced on his Twitter that the PC community for the heavy hitting first person shooter will finally be getting mod tools in May. This will probably lead to loads of new multiplayer map content and maybe even some new guns.

But since Black Ops has been out for quite a while now and Brink is just around the corner, are FPS fans really going to take advantage of the modding tools? If the mods aren't for you, at least Black Ops is getting the whole new Escalation map pack in May.

Played BLOPS through 4th prestige and just got bored.....this is too little too late and i think the author of the article makes a very valid point. With a bunch of other shooter releases (Crysis, Brink) coming up quickly, most people just wont care.

I moved on to Battlefield BC2 and am loving it so far. The multiplayer is far superior (more realistic, no camping, and far fewer 12 yos.) ....and if that doesnt make the point..... One word - Airwolf.

You get to fly attack choppers (Apaches, Hinds etc) and rain down a hail of rockets and gunfire.

Really? My comment was deleted? All I did was inform PC gamers of the broken game, with little to no support that is Call of Duty Black Ops on PC. Maybe you should advertise when gamers are screwed over for once, instead of promoting the corporate juggernaut that is Activision.

This game has had the ABSOLUTE worst support for any large-scale PC launch I've ever seen. The "mod tools" we were supposed to get are being released 6 months AFTER the game's release, with very little information given about delays in those six months, which was blatantly disrespectful to their community. Another thing Treyarch pulled was giving the PC community the First Strike map pack two months after the 360, and a month after the PS3. Why are PC gamers treated like second class citizens? Generally speaking, we try to help each other, and we've spent MORE money on our systems so that we can play your games in all their glory. I couldn't care less about mod tools at this point, as I uninstalled the game months ago. There are many more problems I can get into with the PC release, but I'd advise you to simply google "Call of Duty Black Ops PC", as that will bring up thousands of problematic threads regarding the game.

in other news, aimbot mods and infinite ammo tools have been used abundantly since release. honestly, i havent cared about black ops thus far, why should i start now.

Is Treyarch and Activision trying to compete with BattleField early? Sounds like Activision is worried about loosing their PC market share to EA and DICE.

For myself i didn't like black ops in the beginning but now with the mods their can be options to play with im looking forward to may.
