We got an early look at Dead Rising 2: Off the Record at Capcom's Captivate event last week. You may be asking "What the hell is Dead Rising 2: Off the Record?" Here's some of Adam Rosenberg's preview, by way of explanation:
[Dead Rising 2's] Fortune City offered a larger and more varied space to run around in while the addition of combo weapons and drop-in/drop-out co-op play offered gamers the opportunity to interact with the world in new ways. The only downer for some fans of the first game was the absence of the original protagonist, photojournalist Frank West.
Enter Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, a sort of "what if" scenario in which the Fortune City outbreak is allowed to play out once again, this time with Frank at the center of what's happening. Originally planned as a director's cut release, the team at Blue Castle, under the direction of executive producer Jason Lee, decided instead to deliver a reimagining which basically functions as what they call a "fan's version of the game."

TAKE OUT THE TIME!!!

i loved dead rising 1 and 2, i also hated them for the fact that it was timed. i hated looking up knowing i had keep moving. i love to free roam and look at all the stuff the creators made. i felt rushed in both games. so basically take the time out! i know there are people who agree. TAKE OUT THE TIME!!

So is this a retail release or will it be a Add-on and if it is a Add-on lets hope it will be for the PS3 because I bought Dead rising 2 on the PS3 just because I refuse to pay that silly fee to play online with the Xbox 360
