If you're one of the 1,813,527 people that has paid for and loved Minecraft then you'll be happy to know that its creator, Markus "Notch" Persson has gone on to make around $33 million in revenue from the indie title according to a quote in his Reddit "Ask Me Anything" thread. Minecraft, still in its beta phase, is a game where you can build virtually anything with enough time and creativity.
When asked about the ridiculous amount of success he's had with the Minecraft, Persson gave pretty much the perfect answer, "It would be nice to "kick back", but I'd just end up developing games again, so it kinda wouldn't change anything if I did that. ;) I'm still genuinely developing Minecraft out of passion for the game. If that ever changes, I probably SHOULD hand over the reins to someone else."

Well done, MC is a creative concept that Notch has passionately built. He's done a great job so far.
I just wish Notch would take notice to all of the mods people have to improve the game. Things such as: texture packs, fly hacks, server mods, etc. If there are tons of people who want these mods, then its obviously something that the game could benefit from. An if Notch is too busy, he could hire an extra employee. I think he can afford it.

wooh! go minecraft! even though the minecraft dev team is lazy as heck, the game is still amazing, and the limits it can push with the full game and continuous updates is amazing.
