Mortal Kombat may be getting Green Lantern if recent rumors prove to be true. A video showing the DC hero in the Mortal Kombat character selection screen has appeared online. Since the PS3 version of MK will be getting Kratos as a playable character many gamers have been wondering if the Xbox 360 version will receive a similar exclusive. I happen to be one of the people who have been speculating like mad about which character it would be but I never would have guessed Green Lantern. As much as I want to believe, someone could have just used footage from MK vs DC to make this. My fingers are still crossed for the Chief.
NEWS: Mortal Kombat DLC Already Revealed
While this certainly is still a rumor, the video is fairly convincing. Plus we already know that Mortal Kombat and DC Comics have a relationship. Both MK and GL are owned by Warner Bros, and the Green Lantern movie comes out in a few months, it all kind of makes sense, from a marketing stand point anyway. That being said I highly doubt DC would sign off on having their character brutally ripped in half, the very reason I didn't like MK vs. DC.
What do you think, is this rumor legit? Would Green Lantern be a good fit in Mortal Kombat?
We'll know for sure when Mortal Kombat is released on April 19th.

Fenix does not stand a chance against Master Chief. John could kill Marcus with out trying. Master chief is powerful enough to rip a human apart with his bare hands add the suit and that is amped 100 fold. I'd take matser chiefs fist over Fenix's chainsaw any day.

I fail to see Green Lantern as a viable character for the simple fact that DC will not allow a fatality hence the debacle that was MK vs. DC... your going to make the only "exclusive" for the 360, the only character without a fatality?? Even if for some odd reason you CAN do a fatality with GL... it wouldn't work because of the history and rules governing the GL Corp, unless authorized by Oa, a Green Lantern can not use Lethal Force... remember Bokooda in the lantern wars?

i really really hope we get an Xbox only character. and i really really hope it isn't G.L. it would be really gay for PS3 to get the God of War and we get a guy from the worst MK game again. Bring in the Gears please =)

Just Have a Full DC Charater download, SuperMan, WonderWoman, Flash, Batman, Green Lantern & Lex Luthor and i wouldnt mind paying for the DC add-on 10 bucks for it DLC! Bring it & Make youre Fans Happy & a good makeup for DC VS MK!
