Jurassic Park: The Game, the upcoming game from Telltale, will feature plenty of dinosaurs for you to interact with. Telltale wanted to make sure their game was not only true to the film's story but also true to science. Members of the design team met with a paleontologist to make sure they were as accurate as possible when depicting these ancient animals.
The dinosaur expert has a sweater tied around his shoulders, so you know he's legit.
NEWS: First Screens For Telltale's Jurassic Park Released; No Magic Word Required
Jurassic Park is not a shooter; your objective isn't to kill dinosaurs. You will however be fighting to survive. Your ultimate objective is to escape, and if that means killing a dinosaur or two then so be it. It also might mean becoming best friends with a raptor named Bessie; we just don't know yet.
There's a new dinosaur in Jurassic Park and this one is a hunter. This nocturnal dinosaur will have venom that causes disorientation, confusion and hallucination, ultimately ending in a "slow, horrible and fascinating death." If you've read the book or seen the movie you might think this mystery dinosaur is a Dilophosaurus, but that's just my guess.
Jurassic Park: The Game will be out for PCs and Macs in April and will be available on the consoles this fall.

I've been fascinated with Dinosaurs the second I learned about them. I still feel the Jurassic Park on Genesis is an all time classic and other than Chroniles of Riddick/LOTR on PS2/XB movie games have been as Sir Charles Barkley says TUURRIBBUL! I may be wrong... Lastly looks like 2011 could beat 07 for best gaming year this to me is a welcome surprise. peace

Calling it right now that the mystery dino is going to be compsognathus, or "compies", to those who read the book. Although not featured in the first Jurassic Park movie, they were present in the book (excellent read, btw) and the brief description in the video is a perfect match for how they appeared in the novel; small, fast, nocturnal hunters with a debilitatingly mind altering venom, as seen in the death of John Hammond (yes, he dies in the book, spoiler). Props to the developers for sticking with the existing fiction

I want to say this game doesn't look too fun, but it's from Tell Tale so I have a really hard time thinking it will be bad. And after playing Alan Wake which was mostly running without shooting I would think that they can turn this into a great thing.

I really hope this doesn't have that many quick time events and is more just a point and click adventure. I really dislike quick time event games.

The clip showed a low camera angle of the dinosaur's perspective, so I imagine it's small. This thing would scare the crap out of me

As long as it has a reliable save system and doesn't crash 5 minutes from completion like the SNES game, I'm happy. I remember wanting to throw the cartridge out the window when that happened. lol
