According to UK game magazine PSM3, an announcement is coming in April. Activision may be planning to reveal Modern Warfare 3. There's no solid info on the game, but PSM3 speculated like this:
"Based on the ending of MW2, we'd be surprised if the story doesn't pick up with Soap and Price on the run, after they were set up by General Shepard."
There's no way of knowing right now whether this rumor is true or not, so take it however you want. We'll be further looking into this game (that doesn't officially exist) in the upcoming months.

So I wonder if this one does really well if they will pull the plug on this franchise as well just like Guitar Hero?.........to soon?

People hate on CoD SO much. Newsflash. They're the best selling FPS's out there for a reason. They may have glitches, but at the core, CoD games are always a good time, especially the Modern Warfare series. I'm hoping MW3 can live up to the first two installments after the Respawn incident though.

All you ppl saying you ain't going to buy it will be the ones standing in line at the midnight release. The only thing wrong with MW2 is OMA & scavanger(to an extent), Quick Scoping, & Commando.

Do not want. Never did, never will. A freebie would be the only chance they have at getting a copy into my collection. Stupid game, stupid developers/publisher, flooded genre. If this thing manages to sell more than a few thousand copies I'll just assume that the majority of gamers are undereducated fools and are far below me.

YES! Another broken CoD game for me to waste my money on because they trick me into buying it by saying that they care and they will fix it and it will be balanced and then they lull me into a false sense of security by showing me pretty shinny new graphics and a good story and the I go OK here is my money. And then a week later you hate your life and your full of regret. Kind of like the girl who got drunk at the party and woke up next to Drunk Link. Just a bunch of sobbing and self loathing.

Is it possible to die from not-surprise?
Time for all the tweens and brofisting sheep to line up for their fleecing.
Wow, not even 5 months old and we're getting another one. Video game industry -do I even need to name names?- I hate you so much right now.
Let me guess... it will basically be the same exact game, with minor cosmetic changes; the single player mission lasts only 4 to 6 hours (or less) this time; made on the same graphics engine as the others; and map packs that cost nearly as much as the original game; same lack-luster polish and buggy QC problems; same lack of support to fix playability issues (*ahem* PS3*)... and it will probably sell a billion copies.
The video game industry is turning into the joke we call the music industry--what's good and what sells aren't always (and usually aren't) the same thing.

everyone of you bad talking this game will be the first loser standing in line at gamestop at midnight in nov!!!!

let me guess, same engine, new weapons, new glitches? the only thing i am interested in is how the story unfolds, though with a different team, it might be disappointing.
thumbs up if you havent been cheated into buying all 4 games (cod4---->cod:bo)!! yaaaay!!

I'm sure the single player will be good/great. They will continue the story, blah, blah, blah. I bet it will be the same old multiplayer. OH, look, remote control cars/helicopters. bleh.
Give me giant maps with more than 64 players, then i will consider another FPS.
BONERJAM
I've been a long time COD fan but I couldn't care less about MW3. COD mp has gotten boring and the community has become terrible. I'll be playing another FPS when MW3 comes out.

ill buy this for the singleplayer as strange as it sounds and thats it, battlefield 3 wont kill this game but thats a good thing, you have all the corner camping pricks on cod, and all the decent people on battlefield, ive been a battlefield player since bf2 and i dont want what happened to cod to happen to bf, cod became too good for its own good with the release of cod4, it became a must have, everyone has it, alot of people i know dont play or know what bf is and thats a good thing, let the cod players have cod, just dont ruin bf, sure there are good players on cod but the majority let the game down. just my opinion

as long as it has a good story line to it then why not. Black ops was cool so we will see

As sad as it may be, I am more than likely going to get MW3 (possibly for Christmas, so I do not have to use my own money to get it lol). However, MW3 will be the last CoD that I am going to have. After that, I am most likely going to be done with the series. Heck, maybe that Halo reboot will be worth a look. You never know.
