Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is a multiplayer horror game that has been rumored to be in production. Now we know Slant Six Games is working on the title for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The first details of the game will appear in Official Xbox Magazine's May Issue. But since this thing called the internet exists we can see those details now.
RE: Operation Raccoon City takes you and three other players back to 1998, the year the first T-Virus outbreak occurred. RE:ORC will be team-based and include new characters, Vector, Beltway, Spectre, and Bertha. They are members of the official Umbrella Security Services squad. Each character will have their own unique skills, making team work essential to survival. As far as gameplay style the article says, "This is not a one-versus-one game where you've got one clip full of ammo and zombies on you. If you've ever thought of those times in an RE game when you thought, 'I'd wish I had a big gun', that's what this game is. It's not fair to give people big guns, then take all the ammo away."
You'll be fighting against familiar enemies: zombies. These zombies can hunt you down using sight, sound and smell. Not only will you be fighting the zombies, you'll also be destroying evidence that the outbreak ever occurred. Depending on how you play the game you'll be able to "change the history of Resident Evil".
Yesterday we confirmed Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica would be re-released in HD. Are you ready for all these Resident Evil games?
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is due this winter for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

I heard that you can play as a us special ops team and umbrellas bow's. Also kill all main charcters. will play a umbrella soldiers and im going to kill leon

-RE4 in HD? who cares, it was the first Resident Evil game without proper zombies...I still don't consider it part of the series. or anything that came out after for that matter.
-RE:ORC? well, we'll see. but I have my doubts, considering that Slant Six can't even make an army game(SOCOM) that looks good or plays good so how are they going to make a quality RE game?

I miss playing games with my wife, she's starting to hate games again. Bring back a game that we can both enjoy at the same time. What's up with all of these multiplayer games that have no co-op? 1 player at home, but 16 billion player online? that sucks, especially in racing games. I was hoping to play Midnight Club Los Angeles with my wife on 2 player co op. Nope, they forgot to put it in, so once again she gets left out.

I like the slower pace with slow zombies, all you have to really do is make them much more dangerous for when they do get up close. What i hated about Left 4 Dead is that you could have 30 zombies pouncing on you and you just come out fine, just a real big lack of tactics.

You cannot be serious, Slant Six is the company responsible for that abomination to the Socom franchise, Socom Confrontation. They're well known for making games on PsP, not current generation consoles. I don't wish to be the bearer of bad news or presume too much, but there's little hope that this game will be anything more than mediocre with Slant Six at the helm.

im going to be in resident evil heaven or hell wtf ever going on vacation down to racoon city after that traveling via umbrella airlines to a nice little spanish resort with very axe friendly people and then off to visit wesker and veronica just to catch up for ole' time sake :D

Yeah must likely I will be waiting on the Resident Evil HD game, instead of this multiplayer game made in Canada. Just because a few games did good outside of Japan that doesn't mean they should be so dependent on outside sources.

Now, THIS is more like it. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for some new Resident Evil news! I would have my doubts that it will resemble Left 4 Dead, as some had mentioned. Loving the idea to getting back to some co-op, though. Interesting viewpoint to finally see it from some of the eyes of the Umbrella workers! Perhaps this is what they should have done a long time ago? I mean if they are going to rehash old story arcs, why not change the eye of the beholder, so to speak? Hopefully, it does have a well thought out story rather than just a lot of missions thrown together with an anemic plot line. Regardless, for right now, count me in!

I'm tired of people saying RE4 and 5 were racist. Thats like saying Metal Gear is racist because Russia are the bad guys. Its just realistic, not racist. The fact is, governments always experiment on third world countries before first world. RE5 wasn't saying anything bad about Africans, it was just a realistic setting for the topic at hand. And the bad guys were fuggin White bitches.

YEAH RE:operation racoon city me likey and i hope the gameplay is even more better cause im tired of standing up in one corner while shooting, where is the fun in that i wanna run around while shooting zombies heads and while being chase by Tyrants cause if ure just standing and shooting how will you survive a horde of flesh eating lickers man that stinks hehehe............
