Today is a glorious day, a blessed day, a day to be remembered for always. Why, you ask? Silly children, today is Våffeldagen, aka Waffle Day. It's technically a Swedish holiday, but in the name of world peace I've decided America will celebrate it too. Apparently Waffle Day occurs 9 months to the day before Christmas, the day the Archangel Gabriel visited Mary. Somehow that means we should eat waffles, I will never argue with waffle-logic.
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Luigi visits the Waffle Kingdom, so by waffle-logic you should eat waffles today.

I even forget we have that holiday here in Sweden. For those interested check up another holiday, which may not be as policial correct in name, but kinda states what the day is about we actually have a day called Fat Tuesday which occurs the same day as Mardi Gras in the states, Today in Sweden that day is all about eating a particular baked goods called "Semla". Basically it's a bun with whipped cream.

THAT'S AWESOME. I just wish I had some waffles to celebrate with. They are among the best breakfast foods.

Dammit, I totally missed out on eating waffles today!! I was wondering why I was craving waffles this morning, but I shrugged it off because I'm usually too lazy to make them (especially if I want to and strawberries and bananas to them). Plus, I must go to the store for whipped cream for my waffles (they're just not the same without it). What to do . . . what to do? I know: pork chops and waffles TONIGHT!!!

The reason it is called Vffeldagen is that "Vffel" sounds similar to " Vr fru " (Our Lady) when it is said a million times.. (People were probably hungry to)
