Cheats and Walkthroughs
We've known since December that the next Forza game, Forza Motorsports 4, will support the Kinect, but now we're hearing rumors of how it will work. If you were fearing Forza would turn into Kinect Joyride, be reassured: That's not the idea.
According to a marketing survey sent to Kotaku, Microsoft is at least considering using the Kinect like this:
"By using Kinect for Xbox 360, racing fans can now use head tracking to peer into a corner or their voice to control the game menus and interface... For more casual players you can enjoy sitting or standing controller free and racing alongside your friends, simply by holding your hands at 10 and 2."
So it sounds like the next iteration of Forza will be controller-centric, with a few novelty uses of the Kinect. This is what we expected, but it's nice to get even a rumored confirmation that this is the case. Also: I gotta say, using the head tracking to let you look around the cockpit of your car sounds amazing. I'm totally in favor.
The marketing survey also says Forza 4 would be the "best looking game of the year with graphic fidelity 10 times better than the previous version, including new lighting and shading models." A new career mode involves "an automotive world tour" which will "increase the variety of challenges and events you participate in." A new no-assist expert mode was also mentioned, as well as more than 500 cars from 80 different manufacturers. Tantalizingly, the marketing survey also looked for reactions on an open-world Forza game.
None of these features has been confirmed, of course, so take this with a grain of internet-salt.
