They said it wouldn't happen, but it has happened: Duke Nukem Forever has been delayed from early May until June 14. This marks the 895th delay announcement in the 15 year Duke Nukem Forever development cycle.
Duke's developer, Gearbox Software, is looking on the bright side of this situation, proclaiming it the shortest delay in the history of the game. Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox, created the below hilarious video explanation of the delay:
I look at it this way: It's been nearly 12 years since the game was originally slated to be released. What's another month?

This is not news, the game has being in the making and delay for the past 11 years. So another delay? i wonder what for? how much time do you need to find every bug, problem or whatever it is? Now they are just jerking us around.

Really? Another month? I say delayed and I assumed a week or two, but a month is pretty drastic. Also I find it surprising that the international date is sooner than North American date. Am I wrong in thinking that that is backwards compared to most games' releases?

Look, while it IS incredibly hilarious that they have another delay, at this point it has nothing to do with the programming team. The original release day was about a month away from now so the game itself is already finished. There is obviously just something wrong with the manufacturing process that is taking too long

on one hand, this bites...on the other...I'm glad. why glad? because I'm pumped for MK and I didn't realize these games were 2 weeks apart til a week ago. so this gives me more mk time
