Mortal Kombat's creator Ed Boon dropped some hints about the inclusion of an Xbox 360 exclusive character in next month's Mortal Kombat. In an interview with Giant Bomb Boon wanted to make it clear there were still plenty of secrets in store for gamers. "I don’t remember the last time we were this far along in a game and we had still major stuff to announce for it. So, not all the characters have been announced; on purpose we really wanted to have a lot of stuff that people won’t know about the game – to me, I’ve always wanted to have a question mark over the game; what’s hidden in the game; there’s a ton of hidden stuff in the game."
Mortal Kombat will be released on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 19. PS3 gamers will be getting their hands on God of War's Kratos as an exclusive character. Boon doesn't think Xbox gamers will feel left out though, "Well, there’s nothing that we have ready to announce but we love our 360 players and we love our PS3 players and I think everybody’s gonna get something they’ll be happy with."
Boon also confirmed that there were five or six characters still to be announced, as well as DLC characters. There are also characters that will be unlocked as you progress through the game. I already wrote a list of characters who I think would would make sense for Mortal Kombat, and I still stand by Horstachio.

I'd love to see Marcus Fenix since Gears 3 have an amazing execution moves (plus its one of the goriest game ever) or either Ryu Hayabusa coz to me, he is just the best super ninja ever.

I would be ecstatic to learn if the Xbox 360 character is Ryu Hayabusa from the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series. That would just ROCK!

I think it could be Clayton Carmine. Cause he seems like he's gonna be pretty bad ass. And he is a Gears Character which fits the MK style

What about Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden? I think he would fit into the MK universe just as much as Kratos for PS3... just a thought

Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell maybe? He kinda fits in along Sonya, Jax and Stryker

So there's tons of hidden stuff in the game is there Mr Boon? i guess the next question is... how much will we have to pay to access this ' extra ' content?
Can anyone else remember a time when you could unlock all the extras by playing the game and earning the good stuff by putting time into the game? now it's all DLC for extra cash.

Has a dual chainsaw stick that is perfect for a weapon. Sure he's not pretty looking but neither is Melina

I'm so surprised and happy that Kratos is in the PS3 version..Now, even though I don't have a 360, I'm still excited to see what xbox character will be in the xbox version just because there hasn't really been a xbox exclusive character in a fighting game (DOA4 doesn't count lol) .
Master Chief or any Gears of War character....Or that guy from that Ninja Blade game :P (Not Ninja Gaiden)
Also, for those opposing the use of MC because Halo isn't gory enough...Just because Halo isn't brutal and gory, doesn't mean they can't make Master Chief do a bloody, br00tahl, giblet filled fatality ;)

Of course another idea would be to make a robot ninja....paint him white, green and black....call him Xenon and call it a day...

Actually I was thinking why not Ezio Auditore from Assassins creed 2/brotherhood? He can fight, I'm pretty sure he can deal fatalitys. But would it work since he's on PS3 too? I'm just saying it'd be pretty cool.

I don't quite see a character from Gears of War being in MK. Yeah they got the fatalities down, but I just don't see them being able to pull off the fighting moves needed for a fighting game. In terms of fighting hand to hand, Spartans are actually trained in that and I can see it happen, but Spartans aren't that violent. Deadly military trained soldiers, yes, violent gory aggression, not so much. If you could get a cross between Marcus Fenix and a Spartan, then you might be on to something.
