Pssst, hey, kid, wanna hear a rumor? Word on the street is game legend Hideo Kojima is going to make some game announcements at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. That's right, I said "some;" IE: More than one. UK game mag PSM3 is the source, and their rumor-mongering reads like this:
"MGS maestro Hideo Kojima's got some big announcements for E3 in June: one a quasi-logical step for an existing game, the other..."
Here's my analysis: The "quasi-logical step" refers to Metal Gear Solid 5... it's been the right number of years for a new, full-fledged MGS game. As for the "other" game referenced... who knows. Your guess is as good as mine, although, honestly, I think this rumor is unlikely to be true. I don't have any inside information here, but if announcement number one is MGS 5, no one will care what announcement two is (in my opinion), so I think they'd be spaced out a bit, if only to maximize exposure... but hey, who knows? Hopefully, we'll all know when E3 takes place on June 7-9 in 2011.

It's probably ZoE3...And I'd rather see the Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 games get remade with the same engine that was used for MGS4 before a new storyline be added (After MGS: Rising does its thing) unless it has something to do with The Boss then I'll be all for it...Or even something new...

If one of the 2 games is within the Metal Gear scope, then its either:
+ MGS: Rising
+ Metal Gear 3 (NOT MGS 3)
+ An FPS in the MG/MGS universe (as someone else mentioned)
The other game, either:
+ Zone of the Enders 3
+ sequel to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Then again , it could be an entirely new game altogether.

It'll be pretty dumb if the next in the Metal Gear series is named Metal Gears Solid 5 since it will be impossible for snake to be in it unless if its in the past. You cant have a Metal Gear Solid without a Solid Snake and as much as I want another Metal Gear I think it should'nt have a sequel since MGS4 ended so perfectly.

Honestly, I don't think there could ever be too much Metal Gear Solid games. I've throughly enjoyed each installment (With the exception of 4 but I have seen a walkthrough on youtube). I have never once felt burned out from the series. I mean, there are other games to play out there. If you get burned out or tired of a certain game then you really need to broaden your gaming library. I have 3 games that I'm playing right now & I'm not even half way through with them because I space my play time out & I alternate games each time. I warmly welcome a new MGS if that's what he's going to announce. Kojima has enough ideas to keep MGS going for a many sequels as Final Fantasy

Announcement 2, please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY!!! Let it be an announcement for ZONE OF THE ENDERS 3!!! It's been more than enough time to get back to the grindstone and get to work on the continuation of ADA's story. Need to show everyone what the PS3 can do with mech games now. Armored What?!? And this time PLEASE let Hideo head the team and make it kick some ass!!!

It's going to MGS rising and i'm guessing their won't be another he is the kind of person who takes care of his series' he won't be working on another project with Metal Gear: Rising. P.S. He hinted at this game at the end of MGS4 so he probably has a well thought out story already. My guess is Snake will become Raiden's mentor he won't be out of the series until he finally dies like Big Boss.

I'm hoping MGS5, ZOE3 and/or a new Castlevania. Any 2 of those will make me happy for a long time (admittedly any one of those would make me happy for a long time but still).

MGS is my all time favorite game series. But to be honest, I'd be more excited for a new Zone of the Enders. We need one.
