Hitman 5 is rumored to be announced at this year's E3 expo, just a few months away. It now appears as though the first screenshot from the next Hitman game has surfaced. The screenshot is a close-up of a gloved hand grasping a silencer; typical Agent 47 right there.
The sleuths over at the Hitman forums have been on the case for several months. They have been following clues from what they suspect is a viral campaign, and that lead them to the date June 7, 2011, the first day of E3. The screenshot was first released on a Flickr account called YouAreOnTheRightTrack.
An IO Interactive representative called Nick@IO posted in the forums, "Well, if you check out the geo data on the flickr image and couple it with the final barcode, you will know what is being pointed at. You have already cracked, guys. Grats and well played."
Hitman 5 has not officially been announced, do you think this screenshot will pan out and we'll see an E3 reveal? Do you want another Hitman game?

All the games in this series were great. They have always been linear, and the story has progressed through one level after another. It would be really neat to see the new game set in an open world sandbox style setting, where 47 can wander around and start side missions or the main storyline missions. Of course an mp option would be great, something similar to assassin's creed: brotherhood's online mp, without the wonderful experience of constantly being knocked off the server, of course. But if this game features the old style of game play, I'll still take it; bring it on. I'll buy it off the shelves the first day it's released.

There is a barcode in the bottom right of the picture. At the end of the barcode is the number 47. Obviously another hitman game.

Missions such as the 'The Lee Hong Assasination' and 'Massacre at the WangFou Restaurant' made the earlier entries classics.

The new Hitman game should come with multiplayer I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING BUT HEAR ME OUT. 2 players are assasins. They each have 3 targets. 2 are targets that they share and the other is the other player. The one who escapes alive with the most kills wins. You can even set certain rules like if you blow your cover you automatically lose, or maybe something like "Elite: No vests, pain pills, adredaline, and the only weapons you're allowed is a single silverballer with 2 magazines worth of ammo and your fiber wire"

I never knew anything about this game until I found the box set on sale. Turned out pretty good and I'd be interested in a sequel. E3 is going to be big this year with all the upcoming titles.
