Microsoft's Kinect has been modded to work with Sony's PlayStation 3. The console that does everything is now Kinect compatible, after you do a bunch of hacking that is. "Kinect PS3" was designed more as a proof-of-concept than a functioning mod, so it's a work in progress -- It's still pre-alpha and the software is lacking some recent codes.
Given how Microsoft has been embracing Kinect mods, do you think their stance will change now that PS3 functionality is possible? For that matter, The programmer, shantzg00, posted instructions on how to perform the mod on his blog, do you think Sony will have a problem with it?

Well I guess since the thing isn't selling they need to find something to do with all those useless accessories. Might as well port it to a platform with actual games to play. It's not going to go far at all without buttons, and that's why M$ always fails while Sony and Nin manage to create cool new things once in a while.
Would I buy one? Probably not, the Eye is better and much easier on the wallet.

Of course Microsoft won't be upset with the PS3 mod. Why should they?? It just proves that the PS Move is so crappy that PS3 owners would rather use a Microsoft product instead of the Move. It's just means more money for Microsoft in the long run.

'Proof of concept'? What concept? That you can navigate the menus awkwardly at best? Games like KZ3 need buttons (even if they're on a motion controller), not hand movements, for the best control. Until we see a HUGE jump in technology, that'll stay the same.
