Legendary animator Don Bluth is…well, a legend. His hand help create some of the most acclaimed and beloved Disney films of all time (Robin Hood, The Sword and the Stone, The Jungle Book, to name a few), but he’s perhaps best known in gaming circles for his work on the arcade classic Dragon’s Lair, which has been released on pretty much every gaming platform imaginable since its release in the early 1980s.

Last year, Bluth founded his own development company, Square One Studios, which today released its first title, Tapper World Tour, an iOS reinterpretation of the arcade hit Tapper. We saw the game a few weeks back at GDC, and you can check out our preview for all the details. We also had a chance to sit down with Mr. Bluth at that time as well to talk about the legacy of Dragon’s Lair, his creative philosophies, and the lost art of hand-drawn animation.

"Titan A.E." is indeed a great animated film. For those bass lovers out there, the chapter (16?) where the main characters enter the ice field will truly give your subwoofer a run for it's money :)

Don Bluth directed "The Secret of NIMH", which is easily one of the best animated films of all time. His "Titan A.E." is also top-notch.
