Prey 2 has officially been announced and X-Play has an exclusive live-action trailer to prove it. The trailer shows passengers boarding a consumer jet. Two passengers are using a flip-cam to document their trip, you notice a convict in handcuffs being led to the back of the plane. At some point during the trip the plane shakes, it's not turbulence though. A green light fills the plane as the passengers scream. We're not sure what this trailer means for the game's story but Bethesda assures us "This is the Prey 2 Human Head wanted to make."
Prey 2 is slated for 2012.

I just saw the June issue of Xbox World, this game really has nothing to do with the original Prey.
It looks like they were too scared to take a risk on a new IP, so they tacked on the Prey name.

I'm more excited about this game than anything else coming out in the next year or so.
I just hope they don't replace Art Bell with George Snoory.

It is about damn time this got announced. I've been waiting for Prey 2 since I finished the first one 5 years ago. I really REALLY hope it continues the story of the first one though and doesn't go off on it's own thing.

Okay that is the Airliner from the first game remeber the Jet level when you wee it crash. So I believe (and the first game wasn't easy, but I mean you were up against some impossible odds) that you are a character in the second game that diverts alot of the aliens away from Tommy. In the very end when you stepped into the sphere and took over you might not have given it up I think the second game ends in you killing tommy, I think he bonds with the sphere and in order to destroy it forever you have to perform a bunch of different tasks ultimately ending in tommy's death.

Pretty cool trailer. If only the recent live action Fear trailers were this good.

Finally the sequel they've been promising since the first Prey. I thought it would never happen. After all they even talked of a sequel in the game Prey itself. Now I'm going to have to go back and play Prey again because I forgot what's happened since then. All I remember is that it was an awesome game no one played. I only played it because before I put Windows on my Mac it was the only FPS game I could run native on the Mac.

Prey is still down in my book as the most dissapointing game I've ever played. Not because it was bad, far from it. It was because I could feel it's untapped potential. I remember playing the PC demo over and over and loving it, then I bought it and found it couldn't keep that momentum. It had some great moments and mind-bending physics puzzles. But was hampered by little nags, such as never really having a reason to switch weapons and a weak story. (Though I will give them props for trying something other than the 'ol space marine stand-by, and the bitterly ironc origin of the human race was a nice touch)
That said, I just have a gut feeling that Human Head will show vast improvement in round two.

You know I see this as being a pitch to a movie (God forbid they call it Prey) but I can picture the writer :
Writer: All right you're on a plane, enjoying your flight when BOOM a mysterious force comes out of nowhere and kills everybody.

that was fairly disturbing though, in a good way
