Wanna hear about a strange crossover? Team Fortress 2 and Total War: Shogun 2 are mashing together. You won't have a hunter character in Shogun, instead, Sega will release eight in-game items for Team Fortress 2. The idea is to bring Total War: Shogun 2's Japanese flavor to Valve's TF2.
The items will be made available as an exclusive pre-purchase bonus for Steam gamers and also as a separate TF2 item pack. Available from today, March 11. If you’ve already pre-purchased Total War: Shogun 2 on Steam or you do so before release and ownTF2, you’ll automatically gain access to these unique items.
Head over to the Steam Store today for more info.

The Emperor's Champion
All you whiners don't know what you're missing. The new Scout melee weapon, the Soldier/Demo's new sword, and the Spy's new knife are all freakin' AWESOME additions to the game.
I'm not sure about the Concheror yet. It's a healing Buff Banner/Battalion's Backup....kinda has to be good, right?
Honestly, the Concheror appears to do what I initially suspected the Battalion's Backup would do.
The mask, hair, wig, and helmet are just icing on the very delicious cake.
Buying all the items in TF2 = $30
Finding or Crafting all the Shogun Update items = a ton of time or scrap metal
Buying the Total War Complete Pack for $48 and getting the 4 old Total War games AND the not yet released Total War AND all the TF2 Shogun Update items(with the "Genuine" quality) = a GREAT deal

Valve is the perfect example that if you try hard enough you can ruin anything.
At least I had my fun with the game before all the horrible updates.

Personally, I'm a little tired of all the promo advertising Valve has been doing with Team Fortress 2. This is third event in two months!

I hate how much Valve charges for the weapons alone, at least you can attain them through random drop. I checked all the items and I feel like the pyro and engineer were left out of this update. I feel like they could have made something unique for both classes, possibly a more primitive sentry that fires explosives at unexpected enemies when they step on a switch (then again for the crusade update I thought the engineer should have been updated to build catapults).

What steam related game doesn't cross-over with TF2?

Just a heads up the update is already live. Was live at the time of the announcement.
