Warner Brothers has a crazy-cool looking slate of games coming up. First, there's the new Mortal Kombat, a game that's generated a ton of buzz everywhere, and now, there's Lord of the Rings: War in the North, which has a ton of buzz here at the G4 offices. Jake "Bilbo" Gaskill played it, and was surprised by its out-of-nowhere awesomeosity -- the game went from a "I'm mildly curious" to "gotta play it!" in one preview.
In the video below, Michael de Plater, design director at Snowblind, gets in-depth about how an original story fits into the tale at the center of The Lord of the Rings, the interesting wrinkles in co-op RPGing, and how much loot we can expect. My personal hype-meter just went to 11.

So far all the console LOTR games I a have played have sucked. Here's hoping this one bucks that trend.

I'm not into RPG's, and likely never will be; but I really enjoy the heavy music and vocal scores playing in the background of all the current video and trailers of this game.
