At last week's Game Developers Conference, we were lucky enough to talk to Marcus Smith, creative director at Insomniac, about the multiplayer in Resistance 3. Adam Sessler asked Smith about player number in the new Resistance, from 60 players to 16.
"The game we're trying to make is just very different from Resistance 1 and 2," Smith explains. "Instead of showing the military might of the human forces fighting against, it's much more scrappy and individualistic. We dropped the player count stylistically and thematically, but also for practical reasons. It's just a much more focused game."
