Shadows of the Damned

Grasshopper Manufacture’s action-horror title Shadows of the Damned is like a grindhouse meets punk reimagining of Dante’s Inferno, and, honestly, we’d expect nothing less from Suda 51 (No More Heroes) and Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil). Our own Nikole “Demon Hunter” Zivalich got her hands on the game during GDC 2011, and brings back this report:

"The fairly similar plot of boy must rescue girl is balanced with over-the-top horror, gore, and sexual jokes. Of those three things, I don't know what there was more of in our hands-on demo. There's a lot of blood, plenty of dismemberment, and a sense of humor that is most definitely for a more mature audience, I use the word mature lightly. And this brings us to your weapon, The Boner."

To find out exactly what said Boner actually does, read our full Shadows of the Damned Hands-On Preview.
