The Nintendo 3DS version of classic video game Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will feature the Master Quest for the game. The news was dropped in an interview at GDC last week.
If you're anything like me, you played the original Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 and your view of what a video game could be was forever changed. Sadly, though, I never played the game on the GameCube, which means I missed the "Master Quest" that came with that version. The Master Quest basically re-arranged the dungeons and items in the game to provide a greater challenge for the hardcore.
The Nintendo 3DS will ship in the U.S. on March 27 for $249.99. Ocarina of Time 3D will be out some time in June.

There's only one word that could describe this type of game....and that word is: "EPICNESS!"

was it just me or was the water temple a lot easier for the master quest version? If i play through this one, I know I'll still be using Farore's Wind in the forest temple

The best feature about the game, will be the bottom screen will have the menu.

Should have been a day one release, but whatever. Just wont touch the 3DS for a few months.

I had Master Quest for the game cube it did not seem any part harder than the original.

I would love to see a LoZ bundle edition.

This is good and all but....does this mean that i'll want to kill myself even more than I did before with the Water Temple? Dx
Symicide
one of the very VERY few games worth even looking at on a DS.

Nintendo uses gimmicks and wins the market, SONY uses raw power and does ok.
(i don't really have a point, just fishing for opinions)
also: it's funny to see a guy dissing the best Zelda game ever made. sure they have the same plot, but there's always twists, new items (twilight princess was in a whole different "kingdom" AND YOU COULD BE A FRIGGIN DOG!)
in reality that's the same thing as growing older/younger; youre just changing a bit.
if you haven't noticed in Japanese culture it's all about transformations. DBZ had super saiyans, YuGiOH got bigger and angrier, and i'm pretty sure Transformers are japanese.
what it really comes down to is they treat Legend of Zelda series like a karma cycle, the spirit keeps being reborn in different areas and times. regardless, the games are still one of the best things you can buy to this day and have it be challenging and fun.

Like we need another reason to pick up a game we were already picking up haha. Awesome

Look. Another zelda game with the same washed up plot the last zelda games have.
So its another ordinary day at nintendo.
P.S.
Before anyone comments that I dont understand that this is a re-release of the 64 remake on the gamecube, I do.

Wow, I can't believe that they will include Master Quest. I've probably played through this game twenty times and now Nintendo has used it to con me into purchasing a 250 dollar system. Outrageous.

Awesome, I played through a little bit of master quest with my friend before he moved away when I was younger. It was still cool to have more difficult puzzles when playing.
Liquid Swords
It's 2011 and there's 2 things that should not exist anymore: jaggies and disc swapping.
Phoenixxx1974
SWEET how cool is that. Plus no more having to open up the menu screen since it's always there. The benefit of having 2 screens :-D
I CAN'T WAIT :-D

I was kind of hoping that the Master Quest meant more dungeons to explore and side quests
