THQ has announced Saints Row: The Third, and in the newest installment of this gangster game franchise you're going to be the head of the organized crime group: The Saints. Developed by Volition, Inc. the game will feature all of the perks of being an being the head of an elite criminal organization, and lets you take all the power that comes with it. That includes private jets, slick cars, and hot chicks of course.
Saints Row: The Third will once again take place in Stilwater, but this time around The Saints have taken it for their own. A rival criminal fraternity, The Syndicate, has set its sights on The Saints and pretty much demands they're the new big dogs in town. The game will play out with the two rival gangs going against each other in over-the-top Grand Theft Auto-esque glory.
Saints Row: The Third is making its way to Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC this holiday season.

Ahh open world goodness..... I hope the same good character customization is there.... and most of all now that I love RDR I hope there is a good multiplayer for 16 or so and coops and stuff!!!! Big multiplayer worlds have become very important to me.

They better not cOmpare this game to gta. This is at least a 4 star game because it's so fun and replayable. But they always give 3 because they compare to gta. Which is exactly what SR isnt going for. Gta is the opposite of (and in my opinion worse than) SR yet they still try to compare the two.
Other than that... I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME! WOOT!!!

This game is guaranteed to be epic! i played the first two and the game all in all was one of the best, i actually enjoyed it more than GTA 4

Oh yes! Saints Row ^.^ Rented Saints Row II and was hooked... Can't wait to put my enemies girlfriend in the trunk of a car at a monster truck rally again~

Alright, another Saints Row. But G4 is going to give it three stars at most because they keep comparing the series to the GTA series. Even though SR2 went with over-the-top crazy fun, while GTA 4 when all realistic and serious.

The second saints row totally got me hooked with good, fun, cool, character customization that made me laugh and after the first gang was wiped out and i had my street gang roaming i felt totally bad ass more so then i ever had in a gta esk game. will totally be looking forward to the 3rd.

this is excellent, my roommate and I just got into a saints row mood and were talking about the third one. We are actually playing 2 right now haha

The main thing I was wondering about this game is that since its made by Volition (the people who made Red Faction: Guerrilla) If it will have any destruction, Could you imagine a GTA like game like SR with destructible buildings?
