The release of the trailer for naughty game We Dare (see below) got me thinking about sex in video games, specifically, what a shame it is that Ubisoft feels like We Dare will sell in the European market, but has no plans to put it out here in the States.
It's a shame because as silly as We Dare looks, it at least is trying to do something different than most games. It's trying to reach people in a way that most games do not. Even if the end result is hyped up version of spin-the-bottle, I'd still like the chance to play such a unique game (if I could find someone to co-op with!), but sadly, that's not going to happen.
Are we too puritanical? Is the game too much for our sensibilities? Why do we accept massively violent games without question (usually), but only allow the smallest amount of sex in games? What do you guys think?
