Pokemon DS bundles are heading to the US. Nintendo DS bundles for Pokemon Black and Pokemon White were released in Japan when the games came out there last year. The bundles will come with a special edition Pokemon themed DSi, a DSi carrying case and a copy of either Black or White. The bundle will cost $179.99. Pokemon Black and White and the Pokemon DSi bundle will be available on March 6.
Pokemon fans: Would you rather buy the DSi and play Pokemon now or wait a few weeks to get the Nintendo 3DS?

both I would get both the dsi and the nintendo 3ds and I don't care what my mom says because it my money and can do whatever I want with it

I really appreciate Nintendo's effort to try and give some spotlight to the DSi. However, with the release of the 3DS right around the corner, this might not have been the best time to release a DSi bundle. The game is still a good buy, but i dont think people would consider buying both sytems, or choose the DSi over the 3DS. Also, if hardcore pokemon fans got the game near the release date, they probably won't get this bundle. But then again, you never know, this could be seen as a collector item in a way, since the original DSi won't be on sale much longer.

I already have these games pre-ordered and I'm waiting for the 3DS, so this seems like a rather pointless bundle to me. :/

That's an odd thing to do, are they trying to segment their consumers? Just think what would happen with the 3DS if Pokemon Black & White launched with it or even with special 3DS editions pokemon themed. Please make a Zelda themed 3DS when you finally re-release Oot. Honestly I'd rather have it with regular DSi than 3DS. Simply cause it's cheaper and seems more consumer friendly.

yeah its cool, but I'd rather just get the game and play it on a 3DS when that comes out ;) or at least, when I get the $$ for a 3DS...

They discontinued the DSI in the small size. The only one still alive is the XL..
