Portal 2 for the PS3 will not have Move support despite reports from the German PlayStation blog, which was translated by Google. Apparently something was "lost in translation" according to Valve, who assured us Portal 2 would not have support for Sony's motion controller. Keep reading for the original report along with Valve's statement.
NEWS: Portal 2 Pre-Orders Available Now
Previous reports indicated that Valve's Chet Faiszek told the German PS blog in an interview:
“Move is also a completely new experience for us, so the system is not yet fully integrated. The levels are changing, sometimes you stand on your head and the world seems to turn. In 3D, it can be difficult to precisely place your portals.”
Valve caught wind of the rumors and released their own statement:
"Hi,There's a story making the rounds regarding Portal 2 support for PS3 Move. Unfortunately this quote was "lost in translation" -- Portal 2 does not include support for Sony's motion controller. Thanks"
Did you want Portal 2 to have motion support?
Portal 2 will be released, sans motion controls, on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Mac on April 21, 2011.

If you think about the experience, I don't think Move would have felt very good while playing a game like portal 2. Hopefully they will have an update to intigrate move support for the game later on anyway, but this isn't a big deal to me.
I LOVE U VALVE!!!!!!!!!

Valve is a smart company and won't bite off more than they can chew. Until they can fully implement what they want to do, they won't make their fans waste money on something they are not fully backing. Thank you Valve for being such a devoted company towards your fans.

I thought that Valve incorporating Move was a mistake. Valve is a smart company and I had my doubts that they would even think about ruining their games with motion controls. Thank you Valve for continuing your awesome streak. Please never stop.

Damn I just read on Gamespot.com it would have Move support and got myself all psyched to play portal 2 with PS Move now it won't happen. Oh well I'm still getting the PS3 version because as it stands now it's still the superior version what with steamworks and the free copy of the PC version.

Why not? They are doing support for that PC motion thingy...

Move may be cool but I'm already sold on my PS3 version with the Free PC/Mac copy included.
