Last Call For APB Beta Testers

APB: Reloaded's beta has over 100,000 sign ups based on submissions to Gamersfirst. According to the game's blog, "The beta will be geographically rolled out, with three different regions planned; US-West, US-East and Europe turned up at slightly different times. Tentatively we are aiming to turn up the first closed beta during the week of February 28."

The closed beta could take longer as they "reserve the right to delay the launch of the beta" if there are bugs that still need to be worked out. The rebirth of game will be a free-to-play MMO. Premium, or pay-to-play, will be used to access more features in the game.

The original APB: All Points Bulletin was a subscription based MMO. The game's developer, Realtime Worlds, shut down, taking the game's servers with them. The IP of APB was purchased by GamersFirst in November with a relaunch of the game planned for  "early 2011."

Are you surprised the game's beta has so much attention?

It's the same game you played last year. Nothing changed. It's still fun though. But don't expect a different experience.

This game is nothing like Saints Row or GTA besides crime related, third person, open world, and having guns. Which is very vague. APB is a very innovative game that flopped due to lack of advertisement. The game is now free to play, but before it was only $50 and you could easily buy the points in-game with money from about 30 missions, which would be a few hours to a few days depending how good you are. The game is hosted by GamersFirst/K2 Networks as a free to play. So far CBT has been very successful. The latency issue has really been worked on good, when I first got into CBT I had an average 160-180 latency, then it went to 140-160, now it's at 110-140. That's very good considering I'm on the exact opposite place of the country as the servers since they are in California, and I'm on the far eastcoast.

I originally got this game to design a tattoo that I want, while playing the game to unlock the designs I found the game to a lot of potential that seem to be ignored by the first company. Hopefully GamersFirst can look back and see what worked and what didn't and make APB: Reloaded an even more enjoyable experience

This game is going to be amazing, all you haters, prob tried the game and were bad at it. Rift sucked, so I doubt the release of World ot Riftcraft is going to interfere with a free game. Also, for those who are talking crap about APB, its has been 100% re constructed. Most of the old problems have been addressed , and are already fixed. baddies gonna be maddies so just because you bad at the game, don't QQ hate tears

They're STILL beating this dead horse? Should've counted their losses after the first beta.

It's a shame though, this game had so much potential.

I'm actually really looking forward to APB's re-release. The original release did have problems in a lot of crucial areas, but, as others have stated, it had a lot of potential. From what I've seen, GamersFirst seems to be pretty focused on fixing balancing issues as well as adding new content. I don't think the game will be significantly better than it previously was, but considering it'll be free to play, I think it's at least worth checking out.

This game was terrible but it has potential to be a really cool game just imagine millions of people online organized into thousands of gangs battling each other. In an open world game. Concept was good execution was terrible.

This game came back from the dead for what? Another round of city-wide mayhem? Go pick up a copy of GTA IV, Just Cause 2, or Crackdown you penny pinching pansies.

I fail to see the potential or what they spent the 100 million on when they originally made this game...lets see, should our game have super duper custimazation or should be put in stuff people want to do? hmmm..HMMMM..

not to mention paying 15$ a month to play a pure pvp game is assanine
im just hoping those CoD newbs have to do it soon, maybe it will cut down on the amount of them.

yeah...um....i dont think anymore players will be signing up for this as rift is almost out and that doesnt look like it is gona flop on the first month of release like apb did...

besides, we already have gta/sr, why would we want a mmo trying to be gta/sr that already failed once?
