The Marvel vs. Capcom games has been a popular series over the past two decades. Between three games there have been dozens of changes to the franchise; graphics, characters, audio, story. Well the story hasn't changed much, it's still as vague as before. Some things will never change though, like the globe of characters where you choose your fighters. MVC2 is still, and will always be, the better of the two. Controls are better and character roster is more full and diverse. To me, MVC3 has too many characters that are similar in the way they fight. I think Capcom went more for character names than relevant skills for the type of high power, fast paced game of MVC3 is. Even with the new 12 characters that will be announced for UMVC3, they are still about 12 characters behind the power curve of MVC2!
Maybe 2 months after the release of UMVC3 they will create an ultimate ultimate MVC3 and you will have to buy the game yet again to get more characters! Capcom your slipping!

M vs C 3 looking the way it should with the better technology that they can now use in consoles. So no complaints here

go play the 360 arcade or ps3 arcade mvc2 and play it on a hi def/plasma/3d/shoots rainbows into your eyes/whatever tv and come back and lie to me saying mvc3 is better

in terms of graphics the series has gone a long way.. but i wished it was more like the SSF4 or the upcoming Street Fighter x Tekken... and since there was a lot of time to develop this games i had hoped that they really made different costumes instead of just colors.. there really was some missed opportunities with that one...
