The Dead Island trailer is the best trailer I have ever seen in my life. The best video game trailer. The best movie trailer. The best anything trailer:
The game is a bit of a mystery, but here's what we know: Dead Island is in development at Techland (makers of excellent Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood) and will be published by Deep Silver. It is set on an island (duh) and is an open-world, survival-horror game with a first-person perspective, but the idea is to focus on melee combat and RPG elements and it will feature a clear focus on story-telling as well as four-player, drop-in, drop-out combat.
The game has been kicking around since at least 2007. Back in 2009, we spoke to Techland brand manager Blazej Krakowiak who told us: "I can understand how impatient our fans must be to see more news and assets from Dead Island. Unfortunately our agreement with the game’s worldwide publisher imposed a media silence on us. All we are allowed to say is that the game is in development and doing great and that all future updates regarding the game will come directly from the publisher."
It's scheduled for a 2011 release on the PS3, 360 and PC.
Also: Whoever made this trailer deserves a raise.

Wow, whoever had the idea for that trailor is either a genious or just really lucky. I think anyone who isn't a psycho or sociopath is effected by seeing something like that. Seeing a child being killed should effect you (real or not). If it doesn't please check yourself into the nearest Mental Hospital, cause ya got some problems, really, really bad problems. I'm a huge horror game fan, it's my favorite genre of games ( that includes shooter, survival, whatever as long as horror is attatched). Shock and awe is entertainment 101 and this dude(or group of people) nailed it perfectly. The trailor is setting a really high bar for the game itself, and I hope the game can live up to the type of hype a trailor like this will generate. Plus,( I realize this post is long and people probably won't get this far, lets face it most people have the attention spane of monkeys on crack) it can bring about the argument about games being art or not. If some dude can stick a bullwhip up his butt, take a pictue, and call it art, and it's accepted as art than at the VERY LEAST this trailor IS ART ( I believe SOME video games are art). If the game is half as good as the trailor it should at least be a really good game, or it could just be a generic knock off of Dead Rising set on an island. Sorry, in my opinion games like Dead Rising are neither horror or good in general. They're just wierd, boring, Eastern style games that are Americanized. You can keep that crap over in Japan.

I really don't know whether to cry or to leap for joy at such a momentous bound in video game history. Most stunning visuals of all time, and I hear its to be based on George A. Romero film plotting devices. This my friends, is going to be a great adventure.

trailer looks awsome and i think this is better than left 4 dead, and resident evil games not that i dont like those games but this one i think gonna be a grand slam for all Zombie brain eating head shooting game....just saying:)
