Darkspore's five-week beta period begins this Friday, February 18th. Maxis is kicking off the beta with a special trailer that shows off customization and PvP. Darkspore, a "new breed of online action RPG," will hit store shelves on March 29. If you're one of the chosen few to beta test you'll get early access to the game. It's not too late to get beta access as beta events are still going on. Keep reading for beta event details.

•  Friday, Feb. 18th from 6pm PT until 11:59pm PT Saturday, Feb 19th
• Friday, Feb. 25th from 6pm PT until 11:59pm PT Sunday, Feb 27th
• Friday, March 4th from 6pm PT until 11:59pm PT Sunday, March 6th
• Friday, March 11th from 6pm PT until 11:59pm PT Sunday, March 13th 

Darkspore will be released on the PC.
