Gearbox Software has confirmed that the PC version of its upcoming bubble gum-running-out-of shooter Duke Nukem Forever will include Steamworks support, for single-player and multiplayer, giving players access to their game on any computer that has Steam installed.
GameStop and Walmart are each offering pre-order bonuses for DNF as well. If you order through GameStop, you’ll receive Duke's Big Package DLC, which includes an Ego (health) boost, Big Head mode, and a t-shirt pack to customize your character in multiplayer.
If you order via Walmart, you get this DNF-themed truckers hat:

Steam is so awesome I just love being able to upgrade to a new laptop or get a new PC or go to a friends house that has steam as well and just play my games that own on them with very little fuss. The only problem that could stem is your download speed of your internet.

PS. 3? What's that??

I like Steam, but I don't like virtually every big game using it. If the service is going to continue to get better, Valve needs some competition.

Exactly what proof do you require?
It is a huge online store that has discounts daily and has all your games in one spot. Its super convenient and has never let me down. The company running it has a long standing history of loyalty in the gaming fandom and almost every major distributor (consoles especially) are trying desperately to emulate them and their success. And then they took it further by adding cloud support for controls, saves and other things that no other company offered.
No trolling here, just saying your dumb and steam rocks

Why is there so many people against Steam? Its a pretty decent service and only a few games require them on PCs. I've never understood why people be hating on it.

Poor Steam kiddies don't know any better. Your loss. I just see trolling from you and no proof, guess that means I'm not so wrong after all.

I'm just starting to use steam and get more into PC gaming and I'll say this much. If I can get Star Wars KOTOR on PC for 2.50$ consider me a convert. How can you hate steam dude?

Not surprised.

Whew, good thing I was planning on getting this for PS3. I certainly do NOT want Steam on my PC again. No chance in hell in any shape, way, or form. Dunno what Steamworks is but it doesn't sound safe.
