Voltron and THQ are teaming up to bring gamers a brand new Voltron video game. A series of games are planned, and the first one will draw from the original 80's TV show, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, for inspiration. If you need a Voltron history lesson here's the Sparknotes version; five space explores pilot giant robot lions and save the planet. When they combine their mighty lion-powers they become Voltron!
The first game's release will coincide with the launch of new TV series, "Voltron: Force," airing on Nickelodeon. Both are expected to debut this fall. Gameplay details and platforms haven't been revealed yet.

They are going to screw it up... all of it.
If they made a live action movie I think Zack Snyder would be the best to helm it due to his style and respect for the original material. It doesn't seem like anyone else in Hollywood knows how to respect the classics... Everyone thinks that they can put their own spin on things to make it better and it just fails miserably.

For all that is sacred, Do Not Mess This Up!! I have always wondered what a Voltron game could be like and now I will get an answer. I am wondering if you have to be the Black Lion in order to control Voltron? How is that gonna work? Will it be multiplayer and each player controls their Lion when connected? I, seriously, want to know how the gameplay will be.

What would be really cool is if they had a side story in the game where you get to play as the Voltron that was made up from the various vehicles. Everyone seems to forget there were 2 Voltrons.

I hope this game is good and that the new Voltron series isn;t sucky but we can only hope. And on another note while Voltron is great the original Golion was better IMO.
Also whatever happened to the rumored Michael Bay Voltron?

I just hope this new voltron show is not another stupid computer animation atempt, They just need the to use the type of animation used in the Avengers or in wolverine and the xmen

The kid inside me is extremely excited however the adult not so much. Sounds promising but history doesn't bode well with adaptations...One of the best cartoons and toys ever!

I liked the tv series as a kid but can't they come up with an original game. Though I wish the Highlander game was still on the table lol.

So they intend to end power rangers who fight with zords, with voltron a giant fighting robot like power rangers. That is just so repetitive!

lol just watch this game get a 2 stars out of 5 or a low score in every gaming website because almost every tv or movie adaption video game THQ make is CRAP, but the actual Voltron show on Nickelodeon looks promising...

This is going to suck soooo bad. I hope it doesn't, but it will. I went back and tried to watch Voltron as an adult, and even my nostalgia couldn't save it. It is terrible.
