"Dragon Age: Redemption," a web-series based off of BioWare's RPG series, will star Felicia Day. She is also writing the series. Felicia Day already has RPG and web series cred from her work on The Guild as the star and series creator. The Dragon Age Web series is six episodes long and will take place in Feredlen, the location of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2.
Felicia wrote the series around a character she created for herself, Tallis, an Elven assassin. "Tallis is headstrong, she fights dirty, and she has a really sarcastic sense of humor," she says. "I wanted to bring a modern sensibility to a fantasy character in a fantasy world." Tallis' mission is to capture a magician, a task she can't accomplish on her own and must find allies along the way.
BioWare is fully behind the project and knew Felicia would be right for it. "We are really, really excited to work with people like her who have a passion and appreciation for the content and a really good history of quality," said BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk. Felicia, a lifelong gamer, has pulled all her efforts to make sure this project would be something gamers could be proud of.
The series is currently in post-production but has not been confirmed to launch with Dragon Age 2 on March 8.
