Valve just announced that Portal 2 is now available for pre-order via outlets worldwide as well as on Steam. They've also released an adorable Valentine's Day video to go along with the announcement.
Before you run off and pre-order the physics-bending game to play with the one you love, you should know that there are quite a few special pre-order offers available depending where you pre-purchase. These include $5 off the full price of the game, a free copy of the first Portal game if you buy from Steam, and an exclusive in-game skin for the co-op bots, Atlas and P-body if you preorder from GameStop or Amazon.

I'll only be excited when I know there's a version NOT infected with Steam. The PC is done for, and I don't know that I can trust the PS3 version with that 'steam cloud' which is probably something twice as invasive and illegal.

I can't wait for this game but pre-orders are pointless IMO. I've never had an issue picking a copy up of any game on launch day and I could careless about most of the pre-order "bonuses".
