Diablo 3 could one day see life on the consoles according to Blizzard Entertainment CEO Mike Morhaime. Yesterday during DICE Morhaime confirmed Blizzard was actively investigating whether or not Diablo 3 should get the console treatment, "I think you could make an argument that a game like Diablo might play very well on a console," he said. "It's something that we're actually doing an investigation into to see if that could make sense."
Diablo 1 came out on the PlayStation back in 1998; Diablo 2 never saw life outside the PC. Before you get your hopes too high Morhaime did note there were a "number of issues" that would have to be resolved before bringing the game from PC to consoles. Some of his obvious concerns were the implementation of patches and expansions.
Do you want Diablo 3 on a platform other than the PC, if yes then which console would you prefer?

I loved the gameplay of Diablo and Diablo 2 on the PC, but as a big Xbox 360 gamer now would be awesome

I'd love to see a Blizzard IP on consoles but not a port. Fable 3 style game with 4 man co-op dungeons set in the warcraft universe would be a huge success.

i would totally be interested in it i just feel a little weird about blizzard moving away from the pc....................it just bothers me for some reason

Well, I doubt my computer (2003) could handle it. Not everyone is obsessed with PC's to where they constantly update or upgrade every 2 years or whatever.
Other than that, if they made a console version, I'm pretty darn sure it would sell really well, so unless the idea of getting more money doesn't appeal to them...

I thank it would be a good idea to put it on the ps3 and x box because most people still have outdated computers and cant play good computer games on it but just about everybody has a ps3 or x box,plus it would boost there sales also.

I think D3 should stay on PC!!! That is how we came to love the series. If anything Blizzard should look at the recent events that took place by the shutting down of several studio and re-evaluate any decisions that might be made by having Activision back them on bringing this game to console. I am happy with getting a Diablo game every 6 or so years, if things are left up to Activision, we will be getting one every year and before you know it, they will be beating a dead horse and close Blizzard because they're not making them any money.
This franchise has been built with passion and imagination and when you bring that to a factory style level, that sense of originality and creativity will go out the window because those individuals that had taken there time to throw themselves into what they love will no longer love it but despise it and look elsewhere leaving what we have grown to love die in the dust of another shut down.

I thought a console version was already announced? Didn't they say (I know I read it somewhere) they were looking for people to hire to help them convert it to console? I know they said that, I wouldn't of put it on my list of games this year (yes, I make a list, to get an idea of how many money wise, and to just keep track) if there wasn't already hope it would be on the 360.

Actually the main problem with it not going to consoles is IT'S NOT EVEN ON THE FING PC YET!!! I say please just focus on releasing it, then go forth with the console version. It could be just in time for the first expansion! I would love to see it hit consoles, for all those people who don't have interest in computers or have one. (which is hard to believe now days.) But I loved it when it was on the ps1 because I didn't own a computer back then and it was fun to play with friends and family. The only thing that sucked is it took 10 blocks of memory to save your story!!!! Also one for your characters..

Will buy on PC day one, but it would be really cool to get it on the PS3. It would fit on the disk for sure, lol. Maybe have a keyboard and mouse input for the console version. I'm sure the PS3 and 360 could do that somehow.

PLEEEEEEASE don't put it on the XBOX. I cannot afford to lose any more hourage to awesome video games! If it comes out on the XBOX I will be smooching my life goodbye!

im not a pc gamer cause i never had the cash to get into it seriously enough, but from the reputation of blizzard id love to get a console version. i they would definitely solve the problems that are present on a console adaptation. hopefully they will deliver

well I would not mind ethier one I have both a gaming pc and a Xbox 360 but its would be cool for it to come out on the xbox though
