DJ Hero 2

FreeStyle Games, the company behind the DJ Heroes games, has issued a statement saying its "Activley working" with Activision. The company confirmed that no jobs were cut at Freestyle.

“We’re actively working with Activision on various options going forward for the studio. No decisions have been taken at this stage,” said studio  founders David Osbourn, Chris Lee and Jamie Jackson in a statement.

“We appreciate everyone’s support through this process and will be as open and transparent as possible as soon as we know more," The statement said.

Not only that, a FAQ posted this morning reveals that DLC for Hero games (both Guitar and DJ) is coming to a halt after February as well:

"We will release the previously announced DLC track and mix packs for February, but - unfortunately - we will not be able to release new DLC packs beyond what we already have," the post reads.

As we learn more about this, we'll let you know, I promise.

This is awful. I love DJ Hero and own both games, but the one thing it is missing is DLC. I just want Harmonix to make a "DJ game." They consistently put out DLC for Rock Band and that's why i don't even bother looking at anything Guitar Hero.

Dj Hero is the biggest music game out now. with rappers promoting it and with all the new features dj hero 2 brought, activison can't afford to drop the game. Dj Hero 3D was suppose to launch for the Nintendo 3DS. so are they gonna just cut that or what? and no new DLC after this month? that's crazy.Don't forget they cut the Tony Hawk Series as well. Then activision is thinking about charging for COD (again)? This year all we're gonna have is madden and NCAA. Why dont they do the litlle access code thing for COD like EA does for their sports games? that wouldn't bother me. Just don't rent the games haha

Personally I don't really care if DJ Hero survives, only because Activision has shown how retarded they are by not having many DLC.
I loved the first DJ Hero and was excited to see a second....but with little or no DLC(depending on if you like songs) for the first, I decided I'd pass and wait for some actual content. guess I made the right choice.

DO NOT GET RID OF DJ HERO! I will continue to buy the brand even if the graphics go 8 bit and we have to buy it as downloadable and only have cover bands! COMPLETELY serious!
