During its annual financial results conference call, game publisher Activision revealed a slew of movie and TV tie-ins games it plans to release in the next year, including games based on The Family Guy, Spider-Man, Bakugan and games tied in with the upcoming X-Men and Transformers films. A new title tied in with the Cabela's hunting franchise was mentioned as well. No details on these games were revealed, but when we hear more, we'll let you know.
Along with entertainment property tie-ins, Activision said it is working on a "new gaming universe" that will launch in the "back half of this year." No details on this new property were revealed, but Activision promised full details will be announced at the upcoming New York Toy Fair -- does that mean it's a kids' game? Smart money is on, "yes, it's a kids' game."

The last cartoon-tied-in game I liked was the rocket power game for PS1. Man, I loved shredding with Otto, Reg, Twister and Sam

Xmen??!...Wipeout??!! Family Guy!!? T_T...Bakugan?!?! are you serious??..have we not learned nothing about tv cartoon games...they miserably autodestruct themselves, these games have a clear view of failure on your future Activision. God forgive another Call of Failure, these people leadin a dive with a parachute full of hopes and dreams

As if we don't already have enough Cabela games too....

They cancel good games and in the same week they announce this? I love Family Guy but I certainly won't buy a Family Guy game made by this idiotic greedy evil company.

Bad mouth Activi$ion all you want -for the record, I hate & boycott their titles- but until people stop buying Activision junk ain't notin' gonna change.
The moral: As long as Activision and Kotick keep making money hand-over-fist nothing will change, so expect more of the same until that happens.
