According to the French website GameBlog, a Blizzard themed amusement park called 'World Joyland' will open its doors in March 2011 in the Wunjin district, China. We don't know how much truth is behind Joyland, but a girl can dream, can't she? The theme park will allegedly be divided into separate parts, including Island of Mystery, Terrain of Warcraft, Universe of StarCraft, World of Legend and Molesworld. It also plans to include a video game museum and a dedicated e-Sports center.
Joyland will also contain a few rides including a double free-falling tower, three types of roller coasters, and a simulator. Imagine Hellion go-karts, stim packs out of vending machines, and a Thrall & Jaina Love Tunnel perhaps? Read on to see a few more pieces of Joyland's concept art which we really, really hope come true.

For more concept art head on over to Gameblog. Special thanks to TeamLiquid member "Lurked" for the translation.

I'm just imagining the location finder:
You are here.
Mankrik's wife's location can be found by screaming over the P.A. system.

I will say, just because it's being built doesn't mean that Blizzard has anything to do with it.
For example, the fonts being used are not what are normally displayed when advertising Warcraft or Starcraft. I think that if Blizzard were really behind this, they'd use the branding that they've worked on for years ...
Allah_Toby
They have a large enough population to hire tons of workers and build pretty quick, I bet.

Why cant they make cool theme parks like this in the USA

"Additional Pylons are required" is what popped in my head as soon as I saw the concept for the Starcraft park.

Why is this not coming to America as well >.<</safety_wrapper&g t;

Dammit why China? Don't they already have a WoW themed restaurant? Or is that Japan? Either way, Blizzard is an American company, why are they treating the Chinese to this and not us?

If a theme park that is to open in one month can only supply concept art, I don't think it is real.

I'm not particularly a huge fan of Blizzard, but any video game theme park is bound to garner my interest.
GHETOyeti
It's like the movie Contact. How could nobody know about some huge construction project?

A World of Warcraft style world showcase (like at Epcot) would be fun.
