The next Call of Juarez games, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, has been announced. Ubisoft says it's developing the game with Techland for next-gen consoles and Windows PC, Call of Juarez: The Cartel will be available worldwide Summer 2011.
For fans of the series (of which I am a huge one), the idea behind it is a bit puzzling: The game will bring the Wild West to a "new and moden setting," modern day Juarez and Los Angeles. Interesting, no?
“Call of Juarez: The Cartel is an action-packed shooter game with a strong story, interesting characters and a wide variety of gameplay options,” said Adam Novickas, director of marketing at Ubisoft. “The game will bring the best elements of the Wild West into modern times with a very gritty and relevant plot.”
So, what do you think? Are you into this title?

I've been to juarez(or J town) and it isn not a pretty site. I was last there 8 years ago and the streets were run down, people sat on every corner, and prostitutes were every where asking gringos if they wanted something chupad. After all the recent events happening there and the violence, I wonder if this game will get alot of flak for being too close to the real situation, if they continue this game in a modern era with the cartels.

Why is Halle Berry in the background of that poster?

The poster makes it look like Call of Duty and Red Dead had an abomination of a love child :P
