Dark Souls, the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, was shown off at today's Ignite 2011 presentation. NEWS: Demon's Souls Sequel Announced
The same team who worked on Demon's Souls have been working on the next dark fantasy RPG, Dark Souls. The game has a sophisticated style of gameplay that relies on strategic and tactical swordplay to defeat increasingly challenging enemies. Dark Souls will be building off what Demon's Souls created with an even more explorable world and thousands more ways to die. No really, Uchiyama and his design team wanted to design a game that would "make you laugh" at the amount of times you die.
Dark Souls will ship worldwide Holiday 2011 for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.
