Kalypso Media announced today that Tropico 4, the city building sim, is now scheduled for a Q2 2011 release. The game, where you'll once again play as El Presidente will be coming to both the Xbox 360 and PC. New challenges, missions, maps, buildings, and more await players in the latest installment.
Tropico 4 will incorporate a number of political additions for your dictator, including new superpowers to negotiate with and the ability to elect ministers. The game will also bring back the natural disasters from Tropico 3, including new ones such as volcanoes, droughts, and tornadoes.
The campaign includes 20 missions, spanning a variety of ten new maps. There are new buildings available as well, including a shopping mall, aqua park, mausoleum, and stock exchange.
Another new addition coming with Tropico 4 is the social networking integration with the PC version. Not only is there an online leaderboard to compare Dictator Rankings, but players can now link their Twitter and Facebook accounts to the game. Both sites offer different ways of bragging to your friends, allowing players to Tweet comments directly from the game, or update their Facebook page automatically when they complete missions or unlock achievements. Players can also take screenshots and post them directly to their Tropico 4 Facebook page.
