The Gunstringer has been announced for the Kinect. The makers of 'Splosion Man and The Maw have released a trailer for their 5th original IP, The Gunstringer. It follows the age old story of a marionette out for vengeance. The game is platforming meets shooter meets puppets meets "please take my money Twisted Pixel."

Someone made the Gunstringer mighty angry, and unfortunately for whoever that is Twisted Pixel has armed him with two guns and no remorse. The Gunstringer will combine elements of a western style shooter and platforming. With the help of the Kinect, you'll also be able to control the Gunstringer like a puppet.
A retail plan or release date has not been announced. Twisted Pixel's previous games were available as Xbox Live downloads, however Kinect software has been retail only. And yes, I dare say this will be an Xbox exclusive. Does this look like a game you'd play?

Underwhelmed actually. The Maw was really cute, Splosion Man was just awesome but Comic Jumper was a big misstep, funny as hell sure but not a great game.
If this didn't have the Twisted Pixel name on it, I probably wouldn't even bother

Twisted Pixel has the opposite mindset of an Indie developer. They are really in love with themselves. If you played Comic Jumper, you saw their company logo plastered every five seconds in the game. It was even there as the title screen.

Even with the slow burn of Comic Jumper I'm still totally enthralled with everything the Pixel folks bring us. I will be getting this one for sure.
Also the reticules are represented by those old style cap gun rings. Awesome.

Kind of makes me reminiscent of crash bandicoot. I get the feeling this isn't going to be something released any time soon, earliest release date for this is probably Dia de los Muerto.
I'm wondering if this trailer means Kinect will be getting the rumored update to add the ability to track wrist movement and finger joints.
