Ubisoft announced today that its HD-remastered, 3D-enabled collections, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD and Prince of Persia Classic Trilogy HD, will be released exclusive on the PlayStation 3 March 22, 2011.
The Prince of Persia HD collection released in Europe back in November, and all three remastered titles are currently available on the PlayStation Network, but if you'd rather have them all on a single Blu-ray disc, the collection will retail for $39.99, as will the Splinter Cell trilogy.
I’m actually more excited about the Beyond Good & Evil HD remake hitting PSN and Xbox Live next month but I’m a huge Splinter Cell fan, so I'm curious to see how they make the jump to HD (and 3D, for that matter).
Should the need arise, feel free to E-Mail me your tips, suggestions, and/or personal philosophies, or follow me on Twitter.

I really wish that Sony would consider doing an Onimusha Trilogy Pack, or a Collection. That would be enough reason to dust off my PS3.

Omega Boost HD or an Omega Boost sequel please.

They're already down to their 2nd tier franchises (I'd call anything Tom Clancy at most 3rd, but w/e, I know it's popular) with the HD remake collections?? I'd like to see a Gran Tourismo (w/Tourist Trophy just cuz) HD collection.
ASS-ASS-IN
But Splinter Cell rules on Xbox. I want Chaos theory HD. Please Sony no bonus content, it would hurt deeply.

I remember when the Prince of Persia(2008) was coming out. I went out to buy the first 3 cause I'd lost them and wanted to replay. Then...I found out it wasn't related to the original series, at all.
POPSOT FTW

G4 don't forget Oddworld is getting an HD remake for PSN

All I want is Sands of Time HD as DLC. I'm not too interested in the rest. And The price point is not the best.

wow, more wasted money on the developers behalf, lovely. How about some new games from those franchises, come on already. Where's that Two Worlds 2 review?

I am also more excited about Beyond Good and Evil HD primarily because I never played that game but it's cool that Sony is doing this and back tracking if you missed out on these titles.

I'll admit that the only time I ever played Splinter Cell was at my brother-in-law's house, but I must say, from what I played back then it was awesome. I'll definitely consider getting this.

Sony is doing rather well with exclusives and these bonuses in 2011... if only their past years didn't suck. I might start using my PS3 more in the coming months.

Three trilogies on the same day, these two and the Tomb Raider one.

Splinter cell chaos theory! Can't wait.

Sony's owning 2011. If all the exclusive new titles weren't enough, we get:
- Splinter Cell Trilogy
- Prince of Persia Trilogy
- Tomb Raider Trilogy
- Ico/Shadow of the Colossus pack
and lord knows what else they have up their sleeves. These are great. Sure they're games most of us have played, but 3 games with HD graphics, trophies and a ton of extras is a great deal for $40 bucks. Not to mention that no one's talking about how much 3rd party devs are starting to embrace this.
