The reigns of the Dungeon Siege franchise have been turned over to Obsidian and we had the chance to go hands-on with the latest in the series, Dungeon Siege III. We've emerged from the dungeons alive to tell you the tale of our epic RPG journey.
"You can feel the shift almost immediately. The third chapter in the franchise has something of a lighter touch with some visual and contextual shifts to fall more in line with recent fantasy RPG’s like Dragon Age. Conversation trees abound, albeit with less game-changing impact than we’ve seen in Bioware’s titles. The game’s coloring seems a bit brighter, as well, the environments a bit less oppressive. Visually speaking, the game appears more inviting than our memory of previous chapters, but it’s hardly aiming to redefine the archetypical fantasy universe as we know it."
Grab your sword, select a spell and read the tome of our Dungeon Siege 3 preview.

After New Vegas, I don't trust Obsidian, good luck to those who buy anything with their name on it. No free dlc for New Vegas even, I traded mine in for Two Worlds Two, which is way better.

And heck, if your still having problems, you might even need to remove a patch and reinstall them.

@blueboykc - Seriously man, let it go! Why do you keep complaining about that every chance you get? And trust me when I say me, and many others, still don't understand why your still upset. They fixed the major source of the glitches within the first week of release. Across ALL platforms. The game released on October 19th, and the first patch was on October 20th. Additionally, the most current patch (released on December 9th, 14th and 16th) further improved the game by fixing other minor bugs and issues.
So essentially all I'm saying is... their should be no more reason for you to complain anymore! The game works just as fine as Fallout 3 did, even without the current patch. If for some reason you haven't connected your console to the internet yet, or if your just too stubborn to play it; that's your own fault! Their should be nothing stopping you from enjoying this game other than the actual gameplay itself.

Been looking forward to this, and am planning on getting it, maybe even day 1. Haven't played a dungeon crawler in a looooong time. Also looking forward to Torchlight on XBL.
PcgamerWithAClue: Oh you PC gamers...you're annoying as heck you know that? Can never understand what's so special about PC, but whatever. When it comes to the choice of playing a game on a 17" monitor or a 42" HDTV, the choice is beyond clear, the 42" naturally.
"Everything screams console"
As it should, why shouldn't it?

Sweet. Looking forward to this one.

After totally messing up Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords and Fallout NV, I'll never play another game by Obsidian. It's only a matter of time before they're completely bankrupt. Good riddance.

When excitement meets my wallet you mean.
This is one franchise I thought i'd never see again, the first two were completely competent rpg's but flew under the radar for some reason, didn't even play them until a few years after.
I don't expect anything too robust with this, and like others have reservations about developer, but as long as it stays true to the spirit of the past games then it should be a solid RPG experience.

I'm almost interested, and then I remembered the Fallout NV fiasco. Obsidian, you reap what you sow. I'll pass.
PcgamerWithAClue
Everything screams "console".
Not going to buy this.

They weren't at all without their flaws but I found Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 to be very enjoyable. Let's see if Obsidian can make it into the AAA dungeon crawler it should be.
blueboykc
im skeptical with obsidian developing after the mess that was fallout nv..but it looks really interesting..
