QuakeCon 2010 Brink Preview

Brink and Hunted: The Demon's Forge officially have release dates. Bethesda confirmed first-person shooter Brink will be released on May 17 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Fantasy action game Hunted: The Demon's Forge will launch on June 1. Bethesda also reminded us they had few other titles on the way with The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim due on November 11 and RAGE planned for September 13.

“We are particularly excited to present such a diverse lineup of high quality titles. 2011 will be a great year for gamers,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda. It seems like every game we know Bethesda is currently working on is near completion and will be out by the end of the year. It's highly unlikely they have nothing planned for 2012. What do you think they will release?

FINALLY! I simply cannot wait for Brink and only hope that it plays and looks as good as it does on all the vids we've seen. I'm also hoping that the PC requirements aren't too steep since I'd rather play it there.

Bethesda is known to take their time on their games (the ones they develop) i have no doubt that two or three games will be released next year from the publishing department of Bethesda. however if they plan to continue Elder Scrolls after Skyrim, make a new game for the Fallout line, or even create a new IP any route they chose it's safe to say we wont see anything for a couple months or years. There is no way they're gonna turn out a new game at Bethesda quality in just a year, no way

This is one of 2 companies who look like they're going to have a break out year (the other being Sony). As far as on what they could be doing for 2012, Fallout 4 anyone?

Think I'll wait on all bethesda titles from now on, they're always more concerned with milking people on DLC before patching/fixing the main game and making the game progressively worse with each new DLC's set of bugs.

I dont know what changed to make them so lazy, but only because they were once awesome will I still give their games a chance....eventually.

How about Daggerfall/Morrowind remake with the Creation engine? OR I wish they would make a horror survival game. Hell, I'm not sure how much hands-on creation they had with Call of Cthulhu but that was amazing.

Can't wait for Brink, but Hunted looks ok too.
Off topic, but does anyone know if From Dust has a release date yet?

Isn't Bethesda working on Fallout 4? That sounds like a good game for them to drop in 2012. Plus all the DLC we have come to expect.

(secretly hoping for a year of just DLC while the next full title cooks for a 2013 release)

I like how bethesda is expanding the genres it publishes. I can remember back in the Morrowwind days where I was like Bethesda who? Now they're usually known for quality. They seem to be quickly filling the gap of required awesomeness that Square Enix is dropping the ball on.

2011 is looking to be the year of Bethesda. The AAA company made geeks around the world pee in their pants a little with the announcement of the released dates for four of their highly anticipated upcoming games. Hunted: The Demons Forge is due on June 1st in North America and June 3rd in Europe. RAGE, is due on September 13th in North America and September 16th in Europe. Brink, slated for release on May 17th in North America and May 20th in Europe. And last but definitely not least, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is due for release on November 11th 2011, so 11-11-11.

With such a diverse line-up and all the positive reactions to the announcement of these titles it would be insane not to believe Bethesda has one hell of year in store for us.

How about you? Are you all as excited about these release dates as I am?

    Can't wait for Skyrim.
My anticipation hype level for Brink died out completely, so I don't think I'll get it anymore since I'm definitely buying Killzone 3 and Crysis 2 (the demo definitely made me a believer).
As for Rage, I love Doom 3, so I hope the shooting is just as visceral.

they'll probably release a mysterious question at the end of every article to aid to some kind of discussion, like usual.

But do you think this is typical of Bethesda or is something more sinister planned? (or insert *debatable opinion line*)
