Anarchy Reigns has just been announced by Sega. The upcoming third-person brawler is being developed by PlatinumGames. Anarchy Reigns promises to allow "heavy-hitting action" for multiple players. There will be several different types of multiplayer modes including Battle Royal and Tag Team battles. “Anarchy Reigns is set to offer gamers a fresh multiplayer experience with the quality and innovation PlatinumGames is renowned for,” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing of SEGA West. A bunch of screenshots for the game were also released, click here to see the photo gallery.

I can't remember the last time a decent brawler was released. Many have tried, and many have failed (I m looking at you Bouncer) but now Sega is looking to change all that with its new IP "Anarchy Reigns". It is being touted as a third person brawler where multiple players to get involved in heavy-hitting action simultaneously. The anarchy will be coming to us from the same producer and director of the much overlooked Madworld game for the Nintendo Wii. Anarchy Reigns will be available for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 so hopefully Sega will get some love on this one from the consumer and not just the critics.
Look for players to go fist to fist in Anarchy Reigns this fall from PlatinumGames for the 360 and PS3.

If it's similar to Vanquish then I'll definitely check it out. And after looking at the screens, it really looks that way. :)

I was fully about this and proud that Sega is still producing quality games, until I read about multi player, great, there goes the single player experience once again.
