Mortal Kombat is returning from its sojurn into PG-13 territory, once again rooted in the Hard-R, Fatality-laden bloodfest that we all know and love. We recently had the chance to take a look at the game's progress, as well as its handful of new features, and came away with our hands stained red. Call us impressed!
"To assuage your fears, characters such as Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Reptile, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sektor, Sonja, Jax and others return for this considerably darker and more mature go-around. The graphical presentation is really your first indicator that this Mortal Kombat title is taking itself seriously – dim, dank with the polished sheen of blood-covered stone; character models that are neither cartoonish nor simplistic, but rather imposing and quasi-demonic. These are the fiercest we’ve seen these characters in quiet some time and even from the short demo we witnessed, they feel back to their old – albeit newer – selves."

I wonder how they will approach the campaign this time because the way they did it in Deception and Deadly Alliance was fun and time consuming running through each world doing quest type things and battling people, Armageddon was alright but not as good as the previous 2 and that random ass Shaolin Monks MK that no one bought, This MK game should definitely make up for MK vs. DCU which I didn't even try due to its T rating which automatically made the game suck not to mention the cartoon like graphics.

One of my favorite parts of the originals was they used photos of real people. Now I'm not saying this game doesn't look awesome or that I didn't pre-order the limited edition, but I would like to see a game in the future using real people again.
