Cheats and Walkthroughs
Ever think you were born a few millenia too early? Ever imagine that you'd have fit in well somewhere in the ancient world, designing pyramids or conquering civilizations? Well, stop wondering and find out with the free-to-play Age of Empires Online. We recently spent some time with the title and came away with our early impressions.
"Microsoft has assured us that those who do want a 100% free experience will have a lot to keep them busy. The quests can be played multiple times with the option of a harder ‘Elite’ difficulty setting for players with higher levels. At its basic free level, there’ll be hundreds of quests to play and those players will be able to hold their own against users who do spend money. This is made possible by standard similar-level matchmaking and offering free users their share of useful resources and equipment to upgrade units."
Travel back in time with us and check out our Age of Empires Online Preview.

You mean, "ever think you were born a few millenia too LATE?"
Sorry, kind of a dick about grammatical stuff. Just that the only way you phrased it would be more fitting to Starcraft than Age of Empires.

I was in the beta testing for this game it's pretty much a smoother looking version of the other ones, The only thing that sucked about it was the whole Games For Windows program you had to use to launch it, it would crash and have errors logging in and just make the game unplayable at times it's just a cheap steam imitation that MS threw together for their PC games but besides that it's a good game and worth a try if you like RTS games.

well i loved the ensemble series, but microsofts's going to have to try pretty hard to sell this to me.
