Angry Birds is now playable with the Kinect thanks to the latest hack. Angry Birds is one of the most popular mobile games available and now you'll be able to play it on a much bigger screen than your iPhone or iPad. The person who made this used a wireless controller and KinEmote, a software that lets you use Kinect on Windows. KinEmote tracks the users hand as he plays Angry Birds on his PC. This isn't quite controller free gaming but it's still only a small step away from simply waving your arms and sending a bird at pile of bricks and a smug green pig.

Hey guys, this was done by TvTaster originally using some software called FAAST (just so ya know ;))
The Kinmote guys have implemented open / close hand mouse events now as well which is cool :)

I say Microsoft should opens kinect up to XNA so they can get games like these out on the market asap.

Microsoft has pretty much started to embrace hackers for what and who they are.
Look at the Iphone/Sony mess with Geohotz. Geohotz says he will try a windows 7 phone and the microsoft team sends him one.
When it came to Kinect they were upset thinking people were going to use it to break anti piracy.
Where after they saw what people were doing with it they were okay.

I agree with DarkKirby2500 the hack community is making microsoft look bad by doing things like this. I think Microsoft will eventually implement it like most of these hackers are. Kinect truly is amazing tech but they need to use it in their games right now i'm disappointed with the games available for both Move and Kinect. Kinect had plenty at launch but they didn't last.

The Kinect is an amazing piece of technology, that Microsoft can't actually figure out how to implement. Shame on you Microsoft for even thinking about threatening the hacking community for shaming you in their creativity and emphasizing your lack of it.
