Mortal Kombat will be released in North America and the UK on April 19th. If an official release date isn't enough for you Warner Bros. Interactive also released box art for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. The PS3 version shows off Kratos while the Xbox 360 version does not have an exclusive character like we had hoped. The game is being developed by NeatherRealm Studios and is being led my Mortal Kombat's creator Ed Boon.

come on don't put marcus fenix in this game put a special character for xbox 360 like DONTE from DEVIL MAY CRY! or RYU HAYABUSA from NINJA GAIDEN! or last person or JAGO from KILLER INSTINCT! one more thing bring back the brutalily man

What 360 exclusive character would fit in Mortal Kombat? Master Chief and Marcus Fenix kick ass, but they are in shooters. Just doesn't make sense to me and I can't seem to think of an exclusive character that would? Anyone got any ideas? The tiger from Kinectimals?

Finally another day to look forward to lets hope they recapture that old school feel that I feel in love with so many years ago. Don't drop the ball Ed Boon i know this is your baby and god knows the recent Mortal Kombats fell short of what yours fans expected. I will keep my fingers crossed for the best but seeing is believing for me.

I think that MS still has time to announce a character for the 360 version. They announced the Gears characters for Lost Planet 2 in January of last year when the game came out in May & the two Helghast costumes were made as DLC for the PS3 version a month after the games launch.

I actually pre order the tournament edition for both the 360 and PS3. there was talks about the 360 version having one of the Gears oF War characters. Now that I know it won't be so I just have to take my reserve off. Sorry 360.
